Granfondo Squali 2019 will be the weekend of 10.11 and 12 May. Having only reached the 5th edition, it has already entered the Top 10 of the Italian Granfondo and is enjoying great success also abroad. The 2 tracks of 80 km with a difference in height of 1250m and of 140km with a difference in height of 2183m branch off between two beautiful regions, the Romagna and the Marche. Departure at 8.00 am in front of the Aquarium of Cattolica, home of the Village called Shark Arena that for the 3 days of the weekend 10.11 and 12 May will be invaded by cyclists, bike-themed stands and not only and many shows. Beautiful arrival on the natural balcony of the Adriatic Sea at Gabicce Monte where a Maxi Refreshment based on blue fish and piadina will welcome the Finisher who will wear the legendary Shark Medal. Appointment not to be missed on May 10th, 11th and 12th at Cattolica and Gabicce Mare.

This year to win the title of the most beautiful village is Gradara, the small town in the province of Pesaro Urbino, theater of the love story of Paolo and Francesca immortalized in the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.
Gradara is an ancient fortified village situated in the hinterland of the Marche-Romagna coast not far from Cattolica and the sea. The background is a pleasant hilly landscape. It is known for its historical Rocca Malatestiana which can be visited and contains, in addition to the armory, a torture room, a chapel and some rooms with original furniture from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
